About Us

JasonWas born and raised in California.  He's owned his owned IT consulting company for 10 years..  He's been boating for over 15 years, most of those spent looking for kelp paddies offshore, or diving for lobster at night.  With rising fuel prices and declining local fish stocks Jason sold his last "No Worries" and gave up the sea for a while.  The salt water in his veins drew him back, and after taking a kite boarding lesson he decided he'd like to try sailing.  He bought a Catalina 27 and taught himself how to sail, and then he started racing with Shoreline Yacht Club and learning how to sail FAST.

Vicki:   Was also born and raised in California.  She grew up boating and water skiing on rivers and lakes. She's worked in sales, marketing and management in the real estate and construction industries. She's a true A-type personality always looking for the next ride - sky diving, hang gliding or bungee jumping.  When she discovered sailing...that was it.  She found a thrill and something that soothed her soul all in one.
Maya: Our 6 year old 75 lb Amstaff mix that sails and travels with us.  She hates water but loves being with us and is always up for a good adventure.  She loves food, running in the sand, laying in the sun and most other things that any person would like.

Together: Jason and Vicki met in the spring of 2010 on a sailing outing on Jason's Catalina 27.  It was Vicki's first sailing experience. She fell in love with Jason almost as quickly as she fell in love with sailing. He fell in love with Maya almost as quickly as he fell in love with Vicki. Together, in the spring of 2011, they bought a Catalina 34...at the same time they were engaged. They raced and cruised their C34 extensively, taking 1st in class in the 2012 LB2DP race (missing 1st place the year before by 6 seconds).  They were married in the BVI's where they chartered a bareboat for their honeymoon.  They had talked of cruising but this sealed the deal...

And now, this is our dream...
